August is the busiest time for tourism along with state and county fairs. These events bring on the last hurrah of summer. August also tends to present the hottest days of the year and are often referred to as the “dog days of summer” toasty hot and humid days. Here is a thought to ponder for August; if the first week of August is warm, the winter will be white and long.

June Quotation
Then let us, one and all, be contented with our lot;
The June is here this morning, and the sun is shining hot;
Oh! let us fill our hearts up with the glory of the day,
And banish ev'ry doubt and care and sorrow far away.

May Newsletter 2017

posted Apr 30, 2017, 7:53 AM by

The month of May not only presents Mother’s Day but a couple of other traditions as well. One tradition across the world is the traditional spring festival and holiday festivals that in some cultures are celebrated with dancing, singing and eating cake. One tradition I (Dianna) recall as a youngster was the May Basket Day. People would gather flowers and goodies to put in baskets to secretly hang on the doors of friends, neighbors and loved ones. What a time of innocence and fun.

April Newsletter

Hello everyone, Aprils newsletter presents a bit of fun with April Fools and an Easter Egg hunt. Search throughout the pages, there may or may not be an egg or more to be found on every page. Here is a hint; there are two images on the menu banner at the top of the page; those are dinner plates and utensils; not eggs. How many can you find? Have fun searching.
