Presque Isle County Council on Aging
provides Senior Citizens with transportation for medical and dental appointments, local errands and shopping at a very affordable price.

Disabled residents and the general public are welcome to enjoy the PICCOA Bus Service at the listed fares. All buses are wheelchair equipped.


Good News!  PICCOA is extending the FREE TRANSPORTATION program until further notice!

We are pleased to announce free transportation for all senior and disabled persons effective December 1, 2017, and running until further notice.  That’s right are absolutely free!  Our vehicles are clean and warm, our drivers are friendly and courteous, and we can get you safely from your home to your destination (generally within the county) and back home – just leave the driving to us!   Where would you like to go?

Also free until further notice for seniors/disabled are out-of-town trips to Alpena and Cheboygan.  See below for information about these regularly scheduled trips.

 Rates are also reduced for Presque Isle County residents under age 60 and without disabilities:   Just $2 one way / $4 round trip.

Civil Rights Act of 1964, in accordance with FTA C4702.1B.  Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with PICCOA.

All seats are on a first come first served basis. Call in advance for doctor, dentist, beauty shop, etc. appointments, or just to run errands.

Out-of-County

Trips to Alpena are scheduled twice a month with a minimum ridership required. All bus passengers fares for these trips are FREE

Alpena trips
1st Monday of each month &
 3rd Friday of each month

Cheboygan trips
4th Friday of each month

The purpose of these trips center around doctors visits, prescription pickups, and grocery shopping, and include stops at a local restaurant and/or Senior Center!
