Director of 33 years retires

After 33 years of serving the seniors of Presque Isle County, Barbara Nagi retired as of August 4, 2011.  In her time, she was instrumental in moving the Council on Aging from a one-room office in the back of a flower shop to two beautiful facilities in Posen and Onaway.  Beginning in 1978, Nagi started with just four programs and expanded over the years to offer over twenty-two. 

In her retirement, Nagi will be spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Katherine Kuznicki has been named the new Executive Director of the Presque Isle County Council on Aging effective August 5, 2011.  Kuznicki has been working closely with Nagi as an assistant for the past two and a half years and was selected by the Board of Directors as her replacement.  Kuznicki looks forward to the new challenges before her and values the time spent learning from the former director.
