Our Mission

The Presque Isle County Council on Aging provides a range of programs and services geared toward improving the lives of the seniors of our community.  These include Transportation, Nutrition Services, In-Home Support Medicare assistance, health, education and fitness programs, and more.

Our Structure

PICCOA is a non-profit 501(c)3, non-sectarian, non-political organization whose primary purpose is to foster programs both public and private that promote and protect the independence and welfare of Senior Citizens in Presque Isle County.  The ultimate purpose is to stimulate community interest and support for cooperative finding of solutions to the problems of the aging.

Our Funding

PICCOA is in compliance with the Title VII, the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Michigan Handicappers' Civil Rights Act and the Elliot-Larsen Civil Rights Act.  Complaints of discrimination may be filed with the Region 9 Area Agency on Aging; U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Civil Rights; Michigan Office of Civil Rights
