Senior Health Fair - October 7

The 2011 Senior Health Fair will be held on Friday, October 7 from 9am to 12 noon at the Posen Senior Center.  This FREE event is geared toward the senior community; all community members are welcome.

Flu shots will be available on a first come basis.  The cost will be covered by Medicare Part B, so bring your Medicare Card! 

Additional health screenings include blood pressure and glaucoma screening, and colorectal cancer screening kits.  Total cholesterol, HDL and LDL screening will also be offered and free to seniors 60 years and older - pre-registration for cholesterol screening is required at 989-356-8000.

Free transportation is available by calling 989-766-8191 to reserve your seat.  And a free sacked lunch will be provided.

Door prizes and a grocery raffle will be offered!

This event is a collaboration between Alpena Regional Medical Center, Northern Michigan Regional Health System, Tendercare Rogers City, Thunder Bay Community Health System and the Council on Aging.  Funding has been provided by the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan and Region 9 Area Agency on Aging.
